Xarelto Lawsuit & Side Effect Information
Xarelto, Also known as Rivaroxaban, is a prescription medicine approved by the FDA in July of 2011 it is used to reduce the risk of stroke and blood clots in people with atrial fibrillation.
It works by decreasing the clotting ability of the blood. It is also used to treat deep vein thrombosis and pulmonary embolism, and to help reduce the risk of these conditions occurring again. Xarelto does not have a reversal agent to quickly reverse its effects if serious bleeding occurs and the patient needs blood clots to survive
Xarelto belongs to a class of drugs known as factor Xa inhibitors which have been known to have deadly side effects.

- unusual bleeding
- discolored urine (blood in the urine)
- red or black-colored stool
- coughing up blood
- vomiting blood that looks like coffee grounds
- frequent nose bleed or gum bleeding
- weakness and swelling in the extremities
- Difficulty breathing
- Tightness in chest
- Painful joints
- Symptoms of anemia
